A Cupcake Birthday Party!

Who doesn’t love CUPCAKES?  Kids sure do and what’s better than eating all the cupcakes…decorating them! This was a fun birthday and every kid really enjoyed it (I think I say that about every birthday haha but I’m not gonna lie, they all rock!) Be warned though, there is a lot of prepping for this birthday party.

Wedding Coloring and Activity Book

Apparently a lot of couples do not allow or want kids at their weddings, which is fine for some, but if you’re like my husband and I, we got married a little later in life and had kids of our own already, plus friends with children.

If you plan on having kids at your reception, it’s probably a good idea to have something to keep them quiet during speeches etc. Here’s a fun printable for you to put on your kids table to keep them occupied. This took me a little while to design, but it kept the kids busy for a lot of the time. I’ll help you out and let you download the one I made, to make your life easier 😉

I would recommend printing Page 1-4 double-sided on a thicker cardstock (white) and print the Front and Back Page on one side. Or print each page separate and then the kids can draw pictures on the blank pages. Fold each page in half and cover all pages with the Front & Back page. You can then hole punch the book and string it with rope, twine or anything else to fit the theme of your wedding. I put one (for each child) on the table, with a pencil and a pack of crayons.

An Easter Tradition: Easter Egg Challenge

I never grew up with a lot of family traditions, especially around Easter, as we were not a religious family and didn’t celebrate this holiday each and every year. In school, we were asked to list a family tradition, that we partaked in on the holidays and I really couldn’t think of too many. When I heard some of the other kids traditions, I thought to myself “I wish we did that!” Now that I have my own family, we’ve started many traditions together!

For this holiday, we do the Easter Egg Challenge! We are a pretty competitive bunch but we feel it’s also important to teach our kids how to have fun (while trying to win)! In real life, there are losers and to avoid being one, it starts by having a good attitude if and when you lose.

Ok, I am going to show you how to play this game, because it is so much fun and also gives you purpose for decorating your eggs. Continue reading “An Easter Tradition: Easter Egg Challenge”
