My husband and I got married August 2014 and we had decided together that we didn’t want to waste our money on ONE (very important, but none the less, still one day) when we had our whole lives to spend together. Couples roughly spend around $30,000 on their wedding and to me, this is completely outrageous! Do you know what I could buy with $30,000??? My husband and I didn’t get married until we were 27, with two kids and knowing where we wanted our money to go, we did what we could to save costs and still have beautiful memories. We spent less than $5,000 on our entire wedding and it was fabulous! I am going to tell you how we did it and hopefully this will help you save some cha-ching for more important things (like a car, education for your kids, a down payment on a house bla bla bla you know … adult things) Continue reading “My Guide to a $5,000 or Less Wedding”
Raise your hand if you can afford to shop at Pottery Barn ✋🏻 …. ya me neither! My husband just started getting into building furniture for our house, as a part-time hobby during the summer, since he gets this time off, so I’ve been loading him up with project after project to keep him busy and to get our money’s worth from all the power tools he’s purchased. We found these plans over on Ana White, but they originally came from More Like Home. We did a little bit of modification with the drawers and made it with two instead of six. I wanted to put blankets and throw pillows inside, so 6 little drawers didn’t make sense for us.
You can find the plans here … More Like Home: Rhyan Coffee Table
